Christina Markgraff

Christina Markgraff, of Sarasota, Florida, formerly of Chelsea, Michigan, age 75, died April 20, 2014. She was raised in Chelsea and lived for the past 16 years in Sarasota.
She retired from Associated Springs, Barnes Group in Ann Arbor, MI, and later became a caregiver in Sarasota. She enjoyed being an active member of the Moose and Eagles as well as holding positions with the Auxiliary of the Eagles and Women of the Moose.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; three children: Robert Markgraff Jr. of Stockbridge, MI, Cyndi Clark of Ann Arbor, MI, and Craig Markgraff of Sarasota, FL; a sister, Geri Harmon of Brighton, MI, and a half-brother, Bobby Joe Collins of Salyersville, KY; and nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2014, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Chelsea, with Rev. Dr. William J. Turner officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 noon until the time of service. Interment will take place at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Chelsea. Memorial contributions may be made to the Michigan Cancer Society. Arrangements by Staffan-Mitchell Funeral Home, Chelsea.
