Poll #2

Check out the new poll (on the right side of the blog). Once again, you have to reflect on your life a bit before answering. You know me, I like to make people think! As before, anyone checking this site is welcome to vote. Let's see if we can get MORE than 15 responses (that's how many people voted on our last poll). All you have to do to vote is click on the dot and then push the "vote" button. No one can find out how you voted. You can also change your vote if you want before the poll ends. Have fun!

You missed a category... Spouses and Other Long-term Relationships.

You know. Plural. Pity you people who relied on only one person to marry or live with. It took many to create who I am. Unfortunately, they may all go to hell for what they created.

I put spouse down (check the list again!). Folks can check "spouse" for Significant Other as well.

Oh - I read your comment again. Sorry! You wanted me to put "Spouse(s)" down... Sorry about that Ron! Let's just say if someone checks spouse it could be single or plural. :)

Now I'm curious Ron. Just how many was it (so far)?

OK. I changed my vote to Spouse (i.e. Spouses and Others that I've had long term relationships with in the past; all of which have influenced me... sometimes dramatically, sometimes painfully, always for the good).

Doug, three wives and three other long-term relationships. That's normal, isn't it?

Interesting Ron. By the way, what do you consider "long term?"

Ron C. said...

Doug,

Long-term = 5 years or more.

Although, actually, two of my marriages were less than 5 years.

My present marriage is 18 years old.

It's almost 42 years of marriage to the same woman for me. I just can't believe she has put-up with me that long.

Anyway Ron, it looks like you finally found what was right for you.

It gotta be right. There ain't gonna be no more.

All right guys & gals, who has been married the longest in our class. Please indicate month & year. Irene & I, April 1966.

And to think I said I was not going to marry until I was 30 years old -- not too bad though, 4 years early.

Joyce & I were married 35 years when we lost her. So we'd be at 42 years this year.
